Since the early nineteenth century, women starched linen and then hand ironed (a heavy iron heated over a stove). All laundry work was done by hand; a service which is still offered today at Mrs. Roles.

Shirt Laundering
Shirt laundering can be a very personal process. At Mrs. Roles, we offer a variety of options when laundering shirts to meet the need of our customers.
We process more than 3,000 shirts per week, paying close attention to each one. If your shirt or blouse has wrinkles and bunching at the seams or a ring around the collar or cuffs, your shirt is not being laundered properly.
Our shirts go through a multi-step process before being retuned to you in like new condition. We offer machine finishing, hand finishing and pressing, or shirt laundering completely by hand.
