What makes Mrs. Roles different from any other Manhattan Hand laundry?
Mrs. Roles takes unique steps to ensure the proper process, care, and formulas are used to clean and preserve your garments. We utilize a “built soap,” preparing special mixtures of cleansers depending on the job at hand. That way, Mrs. Roles prevents unnecessary risk and guarantees the highest quality product possible. Our expert staff members have more than 30 years of experience, and we are a member of the National Cleaners Association. Mrs. Roles specialists are regularly interviewed in leading publications including Martha Stewart Living and Good Housekeeping.

Mrs. Roles is trusted by many of Manhattan’s premier clothing & couture retailers to provide the most delicate hand wash process to keep fine garments pristine & new.

Who was Mrs. Roles?
Mrs. Roles was a laundress at the turn of the nineteenth century. After beginning a successful laundering enterprise from her home, she officially opened Mrs. Roles Private Hand Launderers. By the time of her death, the business was established and carried on by her family.

In 1949 her heirs retired, selling Mrs. Roles Private Hand Launderers to the Lutzky family, who had also been in the laundry business since the turn of the century. Today, the business is managed by Daniel Lutzky, the third generation of his family to operate Mrs. Roles.
